Eligibility

  • Be a member of an Idaho Farm Bureau family.
  • Plan to pursue one year of higher education at an institution of the applicant's choice.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Apply through the applicant's local county Farm Bureau office.
  • Meet any additional eligibility requirements established by the applicable county Farm Bureau.
  • Applicants may pursue either an agriculture-related or non-agriculture field of study.
  • Not have previously received an Idaho Farm Bureau scholarship.

Requirements

  • Complete the current Idaho Farm Bureau scholarship application.
  • Type all application responses; handwritten or incomplete applications are not considered.
  • Submit an official high school or college transcript showing at least a 2.0 GPA.
  • Submit two current letters of recommendation.
  • Provide a recent photograph for possible scholarship publicity.
  • Describe how the applicant plans to pay for college and explain any extenuating financial circumstances.
  • Describe the applicant's or family's Idaho Farm Bureau membership and involvement.
  • Provide information about school activities, civic involvement, intended major, career plans, and future community impact.
  • Write a short biography explaining the reasons for choosing the intended major.
  • Participate in an interview with the county Farm Bureau president when required.
