The Horse Creek Scholarship supports Montana high school graduates pursuing postsecondary education with a connection to business or finance. Students may attend an accredited postsecondary institution anywhere in the United States, and preference is given for two awards to applicants from Beaverhead and Madison Counties.

Eligibility

  • Be a high school senior or college student who has graduated or will graduate from a Montana high school.
  • Complete the FAFSA by April 1.
  • Attend an accredited postsecondary institution anywhere in the United States at least half-time.
  • Pursue a certificate or degree in a business-related field OR have completed at least one business- or finance-related course in high school or college.
  • Applicants from Beaverhead and Madison Counties receive preference for two of the six scholarships.

  • Complete the Reach Higher Montana It's Scholarship Time application.
  • Complete the FAFSA by April 1.
  • Provide postsecondary enrollment or intended-enrollment information.
  • Identify a qualifying business-related program or prior business/finance coursework.
  • Complete scholarship-specific supplemental questions.
