HOPE Grant

Offered by Georgia Student Finance Commission

The HOPE Grant provides tuition assistance to Georgia residents enrolled in eligible certificate and diploma programs through the Technical College System of Georgia. Unlike the HOPE Scholarship, initial eligibility does not require a minimum high school GPA.

Eligibility

  • Meet Georgia residency requirements.
  • Meet United States citizenship or eligible noncitizen requirements.
  • Be enrolled in an eligible certificate or diploma program at a participating Technical College System of Georgia institution.
  • Meet all Georgia Student Finance Commission eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative HOPE GPA after attempting 30 semester or 45 quarter hours.
  • Meet satisfactory academic progress requirements.

Requirements

  • Complete either the FAFSA or the Georgia Student Finance Application.
  • Submit any requested residency or enrollment documentation.
  • Maintain academic eligibility for continued funding.
