HIMSS Maryland Annual Education Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a resident of Maryland.
• Be actively enrolled in a healthcare-related program at an accredited school.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to advancing the healthcare industry.
• Demonstrate leadership potential and strong communication skills.
• Previous HIMSS Maryland scholarship recipients are not eligible.

Requirements

• Complete the HIMSS Maryland scholarship application.
• Submit a college transcript.
• Submit proof of active registration in an eligible healthcare-related academic program.
• Submit a current resume that includes relevant accomplishments.
• Submit the required personal statement.
• Submit two letters of recommendation.
• At least one recommendation must come from a program instructor.
• The second recommendation may come from a program instructor or an employer or supervisor.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that you meet the Maryland residency, healthcare-program enrollment, and 3.0 GPA requirements.
2. 2Complete the HIMSS Maryland Annual Education Scholarship application.
3. 3Prepare a current resume highlighting leadership, academics, healthcare experience, and relevant accomplishments.
4. 4Write the required personal statement.
5. 5Obtain your college transcript and proof of active registration.
6. 6Request two recommendation letters, making sure at least one comes from a program instructor.
7. 7Submit the complete application and all supporting materials by the published deadline.
