Hillsdale County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Hillsdale County high school senior.
• Be accepted by a postsecondary educational institution.
• Qualify as a Regular or Associate Hillsdale County Farm Bureau member, child of a qualifying member, active FFA or 4-H member, or applicant nominated by a Regular Farm Bureau member.
• Enroll full-time for Fall 2026 with at least 12 credit hours or equivalent.
• College, community college, and trade-school attendance are eligible.
• Preference is given to applicants pursuing careers in or directly related to agriculture.

Requirements

• Complete the scholarship application.
• Submit a current high school transcript.
• Submit two recommendation letters from non-family members.
• Submit a nomination letter when using the Farm Bureau member nomination pathway.
• Submit a headshot photograph.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm eligibility through Farm Bureau membership, family membership, FFA, 4-H, or member nomination.
2. 2Complete the annual scholarship application.
3. 3Request two non-family recommendations addressing work ethic, leadership, and community involvement.
4. 4Upload or include the high school transcript.
5. 5Include the nomination letter when applicable.
6. 6Submit the headshot and completed application by the deadline.
7. 7Finalists may be asked to complete a personal interview.
