The ¡HICA! Scholarship helps students pursue education at an eligible two-year college, four-year institution, technical school, or other approved postsecondary program. Applicants are evaluated using academic performance, financial need, educational plans, and supporting application materials.

Eligibility

  • Plan to attend or currently attend an eligible two-year institution, four-year institution, technical school, or approved educational program.
  • Provide documentation showing acceptance, enrollment, or an upcoming class schedule.
  • Demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA or an eligible federal tax return.
  • Submit an academic transcript.
  • Meet all additional requirements published for the current scholarship cycle.
  • Preference is given to high school students with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and college students with at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.

Requirements

  • Complete the ¡HICA! Scholarship application.
  • Submit an acceptance letter, proof of enrollment, class schedule, or other approved education-intent documentation.
  • Submit a FAFSA record or a copy of the applicable federal tax return.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, employer, coach, or family friend.
  • Submit an official or unofficial transcript.
  • Submit a current résumé.
  • Use a Gmail account to access the online application form.
