HHRAM Education Scholarship

The Healthcare Human Resources Association of Minnesota Education Scholarship supports students and professionals pursuing education or certification related to human resources, particularly healthcare human resources. Highest priority is given to active HHRAM members and their immediate family members pursuing HR education, as well as individuals pursuing HR-specific education pathways. Employees of HHRAM member organizations receive secondary priority, while qualifying healthcare students connected to HHRAM may be considered if no qualified higher-priority applicants are identified.

Eligibility

  • Tier 1 highest priority includes active HHRAM members pursuing an HR-related degree or certification.
  • Tier 1 also includes spouses or children of active HHRAM members pursuing an HR-related degree.
  • Individuals pursuing an HR-specific education pathway aligned with a career in Human Resources may qualify for Tier 1 consideration.
  • Qualifying HR pathways may include bachelor's or master's degrees in Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Organizational Leadership with an HR focus, or Business Administration with an HR concentration.
  • Qualifying professional pathways may include SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR preparation programs and accredited HR certificate programs.
  • Tier 2 includes employees of HHRAM member organizations pursuing HR-related degrees or certifications.
  • Tier 2 may also include employees of HHRAM member organizations who intend to transition into or advance within an HR role.
  • Tier 3 may include HHRAM members, their immediate family members, or employees of member organizations pursuing healthcare-specific degrees if no qualified Tier 1 or Tier 2 applicants are identified.
  • Tier 3 healthcare fields may include nursing, healthcare administration, allied health, and clinical healthcare programs.

Requirements

  • Complete the HHRAM Education Scholarship application.
  • Submit all required application materials together by the applicable deadline.
  • Provide information about academic achievement, work experience, leadership, and school or community involvement.
  • Provide a statement of educational and career goals.
  • Submit at least one recommendation from a direct supervisor or faculty member.
  • Recipients must provide current transcripts and required enrollment information.
