Health Advantage Cares Foundation Nurses Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a currently employed nurse.
• Be employed in the state of Michigan.
• Be a resident of the state of Michigan.
• Pursue a class, seminar, conference, or other learning activity that supports professional growth or advancement in nursing.
• Health Advantage Credit Union membership is not required.
• Health Advantage Credit Union members may receive additional consideration.

Requirements

• Complete the Nurses Continuing Education Scholarship application.
• Provide information about the applicant's current nursing employment.
• Describe the proposed learning activity.
• Provide the dates, location, provider, content, and cost of the proposed learning activity.
• Upload proof of the proposed learning activity.
• Upload a copy of the applicant's current Michigan nursing license.
• Explain how the learning activity will impact the applicant's professional field.
• Submit a letter of recommendation from the applicant's current direct supervisor.

How to Apply

1. 1Identify a class, seminar, conference, or other professional learning opportunity that supports your nursing career.
2. 2Complete the online Nurses Continuing Education Scholarship application.
3. 3Provide information about your current nursing employer and position.
4. 4Describe the proposed learning activity and its educational content.
5. 5Provide the dates, location, provider, and cost of the activity.
6. 6Upload documentation showing the proposed educational activity.
7. 7Upload a copy of your current Michigan nursing license.
8. 8Explain how the learning activity will improve your professional practice or impact the nursing field.
9. 9Request and upload a recommendation letter from your current direct supervisor.
10. 10Submit the application through Health Advantage's online system.
11. 11Applications are reviewed monthly, so eligible nurses may apply throughout the year.
