Eligibility
- Reside in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Fergus, or Chouteau County in Montana.
- Enter an accredited line-technician school.
- Plan to work in Montana after certification.
- Hill County Electric membership is not required.
Requirements
- Complete the Lineman Workforce Development Scholarship application.
- Provide employment history.
- Submit a personal statement.
- Submit two letters of recommendation.
- Submit applicable high school and/or college transcripts.
- Finalists may be interviewed by Hill County Electric.
How to Apply
- 1Confirm that you live in one of HCE's five eligible counties.
- 2Apply to or enroll in an accredited line-technician school.
- 3Complete the HCE scholarship application.
- 4Prepare your personal statement and employment history.
- 5Obtain two letters of recommendation.
- 6Submit applicable transcripts.
- 7Submit the application by March 1.
- 8If selected, successfully complete half of the required coursework before scholarship payment.
