Eligibility

  • Be a graduate of a Maine high school or have been homeschooled in a Maine community during the final year of secondary education.
  • Be majoring in journalism or a reasonably related field, including print, broadcast, or electronic media.
  • Demonstrate a clear interest in pursuing a career in journalism.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Demonstrate academic achievement.

Requirements

  • Complete the Maine Community Foundation online scholarship application.
  • Submit the required academic transcript or grade report.
  • Provide two letters of recommendation.
  • Provide financial aid and FAFSA-related information as required by MaineCF.
