Eligibility

  • Apply to Great Basin College and obtain a GBC student ID.
  • Apply to an eligible GBC Career and Technical Education program.
  • Pursue diesel, electrical systems, industrial maintenance, instrumentation, or welding through an eligible associate-degree or certificate pathway.
  • Meet the competitive CTE admission and placement requirements.

Requirements

  • Complete the GBC general application for admission.
  • Complete the CTE program and MTC scholarship application.
  • Submit a resume.
  • Submit applicable high-school transcripts or HSE scores, military training records, and higher-education records.
  • Submit ACT or SAT scores or complete GBC mathematics and English placement testing by the deadline.
  • Complete the Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Test after the application is accepted.
