Get Ready Student Success Scholarship

Offered by Minnesota Office of Higher Education

The Get Ready Student Success Scholarship supports eligible Minnesota students who participated in the Get Ready GEAR UP Minnesota program and are continuing their education at an accredited Minnesota college, university, or eligible certificate program. Awards support students attending both two-year and four-year institutions and qualifying workforce certification programs.

Eligibility

  • Be a Minnesota resident.
  • Have attended a Get Ready partner high school for at least one full academic year.
  • Have participated in at least one qualifying Get Ready service, project, sponsored event, or activity.
  • Be an eligible current high school senior or qualifying recent graduate from a Get Ready partner school.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen as defined through the FAFSA requirements.
  • Be under age 22 when the scholarship is disbursed.
  • Enroll in at least three credits at an accredited Minnesota college, university, or eligible certificate program.
  • Use the scholarship during the academic year for which it was awarded.

Requirements

  • Create an MNAid Student Portal account.
  • Complete the Get Ready Student Success Scholarship application.
  • Submit an official high school transcript.
  • Submit the FAFSA.
  • Complete the Scholarship Acceptance Form if selected.
  • Provide enrollment information for an eligible Minnesota institution or certificate program.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm that you attended a participating Get Ready high school and completed qualifying Get Ready programming.
  2. 2Create an MNAid Student Portal account.
  3. 3Complete the online Get Ready Student Success Scholarship application.
  4. 4Upload your official high school transcript.
  5. 5Submit the FAFSA for the applicable academic year.
  6. 6Submit the scholarship application before the annual deadline.
  7. 7If selected, complete the Scholarship Acceptance Form.
  8. 8Enroll in at least three credits at an eligible Minnesota institution or certificate program.
  9. 9Have your institution certify enrollment before scholarship funds are disbursed.
