Georgia REALTORS® Academic Excellence Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be enrolled full time or officially preparing to begin full-time undergraduate enrollment during the upcoming school year.
• Attend an accredited public or private college or university in Georgia.
• Major in real estate or a related field approved by the scholarship trustees.
• Meet all application and documentation requirements established by the Georgia Association of REALTORS® Scholarship Foundation.
• Priority may be given to applicants who are related to a Georgia REALTOR®, but that relationship is not required.

Requirements

• Complete the Georgia REALTORS® Academic Excellence Scholarship application.
• Submit a 500-to-600-word essay describing college and career plans, educational goals, and how the scholarship would support continued success.
• Submit two signed letters of recommendation with contact information.
• Provide a certified high school transcript if the applicant attended high school within the previous five years.
• Applicants who have not attended high school within the previous five years must provide a résumé covering recent academic and employment history.
• Provide documentation of academic or other awards when applicable.

How to Apply

1. 1Download and complete the scholarship application.
2. 2Write and revise the required 500-to-600-word essay.
3. 3Request one recommendation from a teacher or professor.
4. 4Request a second recommendation from a non-family member.
5. 5Obtain the required transcript or résumé documentation.
6. 6Email the complete application package and supporting materials by June 1.
