Eligibility

  • Be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in a Mississippi university BSN program.
  • Be classified as a junior or senior.
  • Be an African American student.
  • Be a member of the Mississippi Student Nurses Association.

Requirements

  • Submit a previously unpublished essay addressing 'My Role Model of Excellence.'
  • Limit the essay to three typed, double-spaced pages.
  • Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment and good academic standing.
  • Authorize publication of the essay as required.
