Eligibility

  • Be an Iowa resident who is at least 25 years old as of July 1 before the academic year.
  • Enroll at least part time in an eligible bachelor's degree program.
  • Attend an eligible Iowa public university, accredited private college, or approved virtual institution.
  • Pursue a bachelor's degree in a program appearing on the current Future Ready Iowa eligible-program list.
  • Meet all Iowa state financial-aid eligibility requirements.
  • Maintain continuous enrollment and continuous receipt of the grant to remain eligible for renewal.

Requirements

  • First-time applicants must complete the FAFSA.
  • First-time applicants must complete the Iowa Financial Aid Application (IFAA).
  • Renewing recipients must complete the FAFSA annually.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • Remain enrolled in an eligible bachelor's degree program.
