FSA STEM Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a dependent son or daughter of a full-time Florida sheriff's office employee.
• Stepchildren of eligible full-time sheriff's office employees may apply.
• Attend or plan to attend an accredited college, university, or community college.
• Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or another qualifying STEM field.
• Plan to pursue a career related to the applicant's STEM field of study.
• Complete the required application, essay, and parental-verification documentation.

Requirements

• Complete the online FSA STEM Scholarship application.
• Write the required essay describing the applicant's interest in a STEM field and professional goals.
• Provide information about the applicant's institution, degree program, and intended career.
• Submit the required Parent Verification and Waiver Form.
• Provide all supporting documentation requested in the application.
• Submit the complete application before the published deadline.

How to Apply

1. 1Review the current STEM scholarship instructions on the Florida Sheriffs Association website.
2. 2Confirm that the applicant's parent or stepparent is a full-time Florida sheriff's office employee.
3. 3Complete the online scholarship application.
4. 4Write the required STEM interest and career-goals essay.
5. 5Have the eligible parent and sheriff's office complete the verification and waiver form.
6. 6Upload all requested supporting materials.
7. 7Review the application for completeness and submit it before the deadline.
8. 8Monitor email for an award decision.
