FSA Criminal Justice Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a dependent son or daughter of a full-time Florida sheriff's office employee.
• Stepchildren of eligible full-time sheriff's office employees may apply.
• Attend a regionally accredited community college, college, or university during the applicable fall term.
• Be enrolled in a degree-seeking postsecondary program.
• Plan to pursue a career in law enforcement, law, corrections, or another criminal justice-related field.
• Complete all application and parental-verification requirements by the published deadline.

Requirements

• Complete the online FSA Criminal Justice Scholarship application.
• Submit the required essay or written responses included in the current application.
• Provide information about the applicant's college, degree program, and criminal justice career objective.
• Submit the completed Parent Verification and Waiver Form.
• Provide all supporting documentation requested in the online application.
• Submit the complete application before the published deadline.

How to Apply

2. 2Confirm that the applicant's parent or stepparent is a full-time Florida sheriff's office employee.
3. 3Complete the online scholarship application.
4. 4Prepare the required essay or written application responses.
