Frank & Vera Doney Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Gallatin County 4-H youth graduating from high school.
• Plan to attend a traditional four-year college or university.
• Plan to study an agriculture-related major within a College of Agriculture, including qualifying fields such as equine science or veterinary medicine.
• Complete the Gallatin County 4-H Foundation scholarship application.
• Years of 4-H enrollment are considered during selection.
• 4-H club membership is encouraged and preferred but is not required.

Requirements

• Complete the Gallatin County 4-H Foundation scholarship application.
• Submit the required short essay sections covering leadership, citizenship, community service, 4-H experience, and career goals.
• Submit an official high school or college transcript.
• Submit a typed résumé no longer than one double-sided page.
• Submit two letters of recommendation.
• Obtain the Gallatin County 4-H Agent signature.

How to Apply

1. 1Complete the common Gallatin County 4-H Foundation application.
2. 2Select the Doney Scholarship on the application.
3. 3Prepare the five required written sections.
4. 4Attach your official transcript and résumé.
5. 5Arrange for two recommendations.
6. 6Obtain the 4-H Agent signature.
7. 7Submit the complete packet by April 1.
