Eligibility

  • Be a high school senior or high school graduate.
  • Reside within the border territory generally served by Southwest Public Power District, including towns within that territory.
  • Have already applied for admission to the Utility Line Program at Northeast Community College or Western Nebraska Community College.
  • Be accepted into or placed on the waiting list for the qualifying Utility Line Program.

Requirements

  • Submit a personal essay of no more than 350 words explaining interest in the Utility Line Program as the applicant's course of study.
  • Provide high school class rank and GPA.
  • Applicants who have graduated from high school and are currently attending college must provide a college transcript.
