Forward Bank Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a graduating student at a high school or approved virtual high school.
• Be a Wisconsin or Minnesota resident.
• Plan to enroll full time as an undergraduate student at an accredited school, college, or university in Wisconsin or Minnesota during the next succeeding term.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
• Preference is given to students pursuing Finance, Business, or Agriculture.
• Complete one full semester and show proof of registration for a following semester or registration to graduate before scholarship payment is made.

Requirements

• Complete the Forward Bank Scholarship application packet.
• List three extracurricular activities and describe the impact of at least one.
• List three community service activities and describe the applicant's impact through service.
• Provide employment history for the previous two years.
• Submit a one-page maximum essay explaining who or what inspired the applicant to pursue higher education.
• Submit two letters of endorsement.
• One endorsement must come from a school district faculty member, instructor, advisor, or coach.
• The second endorsement must come from an adult outside of a school relationship who is not a relative.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm Wisconsin or Minnesota residency and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
2. 2Confirm plans to attend an accredited Wisconsin or Minnesota institution full time.
3. 3Complete the Forward Bank Scholarship application.
4. 4Provide extracurricular, community service, and employment information.
5. 5Write the required one-page essay about who or what inspired you to pursue higher education.
6. 6Request one endorsement from an educator, advisor, instructor, or coach.
7. 7Request a second endorsement from a non-relative adult outside your school relationship.
8. 8Submit the complete application, essay, and both endorsement letters by mail or email before the annual deadline.
9. 9If selected, complete one full semester and provide proof of continued registration or upcoming graduation before funds are released.
