Florida Engineering Foundation Scholarship Program

The Florida Engineering Foundation Scholarship Program supports Florida high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing engineering degrees. The program includes high school, university, and named scholarships administered through the Florida Engineering Society. Eligible university applicants may also be considered for applicable named scholarships through the same university scholarship application.

Eligibility

  • Be a United States citizen or permanent resident at the time of application.
  • Be pursuing or planning to pursue an engineering degree.
  • High school applicants must be seniors who have attended at least one semester and will graduate from a Florida high school.
  • High school applicants must have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • High school applicants must meet the minimum SAT or ACT score listed in the current application.
  • High school recipients must enroll in an engineering program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
  • University applicants must be undergraduates enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • University applicants must have at least two semesters remaining before their expected graduation date.
  • University applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • University applicants must receive a recommendation from an engineering faculty member.
  • An applicant attending an out-of-state university must have at least one parent who has been a registered Florida Engineering Society member for at least one year.
  • Meet any additional location, major, enrollment, or academic requirements attached to an applicable named scholarship.

Requirements

  • Complete the appropriate high school or university scholarship application spreadsheet.
  • Submit the completed application through the designated online submission form.
  • Provide certified high school and college transcripts, when applicable.
  • Submit the signed Applicant Certification and Permission to Release Information form.
  • High school applicants must submit the required counselor or principal certification.
  • High school applicants must provide qualifying SAT or ACT scores.
  • University applicants must obtain a recommendation from an engineering faculty member.
  • Provide official IB, AICE, or AP examination results when applicable.
  • Submit mailed transcripts and recommendation materials by the published postmark deadline when electronic submission is unavailable.

  2. 2Download the application spreadsheet for the appropriate student level.
  3. 3Complete every applicable section of the spreadsheet.
  4. 4Request certified transcripts from the applicant's high school and any college or university attended.
  5. 5High school applicants should obtain the required counselor or principal certification.
  6. 6University applicants should request a faculty recommendation from an engineering professor.
  7. 7Convert the required certification forms and examination records to PDF.
  8. 8Submit the application and electronic supporting materials through the appropriate online submission form.
  9. 9Send any required hard-copy transcripts or recommendation letters to the appropriate chapter representative by the postmark deadline.
