The Florida Bankers Educational Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to eligible Florida banking employees who are completing undergraduate or graduate college degrees. Eligibility
- Be currently employed by an FDIC-insured bank in Florida or a state- or federally chartered trust company in Florida.
- Have worked in the Florida banking industry for at least one year before applying.
- Be pursuing a college degree while preparing to continue or advance a career in Florida banking.
- Attend a college or university participating in the Florida Bankers Educational Foundation program.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
- Be enrolled as a college freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, graduate student, or other eligible degree-seeking student.
- Meet any additional application and enrollment requirements established by the Florida Bankers Educational Foundation.
- Employment with a credit union, brokerage firm, or investment firm does not satisfy the banking-employment requirement.
Requirements
- Complete the Florida Bankers Educational Foundation scholarship interest form.
- Complete the full scholarship application when provided by the foundation.
- Provide information verifying at least one year of eligible Florida banking employment.
- Attend an approved participating college or university.
- Provide academic records demonstrating at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Remain enrolled in an eligible college degree program.
- Submit grades to foundation staff after each semester as proof of enrollment and continued eligibility.
- Use scholarship funding only for qualified educational expenses.
