Eligibility

  • Be a high school senior attending an eligible Montana school or qualifying private or home school.
  • Plan to enroll full-time for the upcoming academic year.
  • Attend an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Pursue undergraduate study.
  • Dependent children of qualifying Farmers State Bank employees may also apply under the program's employee-dependent award provisions.

Requirements

  • Complete the Scholarship America online application.
  • Upload a current complete transcript.
  • Upload the first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040 used for the financial-information section, with Social Security numbers and bank-account information redacted.
  • Arrange for one online recommendation to be submitted.
  • Provide information about academic performance.
  • Provide information about leadership and participation in school and community activities.
  • Provide work-experience information.
  • Provide a statement of educational and career goals and objectives.
  • Provide information about unusual personal or family circumstances when applicable.
