Eligibility

  • Be a female high school senior.
  • Live in Louisiana or Mississippi or attend high school in Louisiana or Mississippi.
  • Earn an ACT score of at least 28.
  • Intend to pursue a research-based STEM graduate degree and career.
  • Plan to pursue a qualifying research-focused path in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Clinical professional pathways such as medicine, nursing, physician assistant studies, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, dentistry, and veterinary medicine are not the intended focus of the award.

Requirements

  • Complete the Emmy Noether Awards online application through the Community Foundation of Acadiana scholarship portal.
  • Provide academic information, including college entrance examination scores.
  • Provide information about school, work, and community activities.
  • Submit the required personal essays and other application responses.
  • Demonstrate a clear intention to pursue a scientific research career.
