William L. Boyd IV Effective Access to Student Education Program

The William L. Boyd IV Effective Access to Student Education Program provides tuition assistance to eligible Florida undergraduate students attending participating private Florida colleges and universities. Each participating institution determines its own application procedures, deadlines, student eligibility, and award administration.

Eligibility

  • Be a Florida resident and a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, as determined by the participating institution.
  • Attend an eligible participating private Florida college or university.
  • Enroll as an undergraduate student pursuing a first bachelor's degree.
  • Enroll in at least 12 credit hours per term or the equivalent.
  • Be enrolled in a program of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
  • Not be enrolled in a degree program in theology or divinity.
  • Not have previously earned a bachelor's degree.
  • Meet Florida's general eligibility requirements for state financial aid.
  • Not owe repayment or be in default under a state or federal grant, loan, or scholarship program unless satisfactory repayment arrangements have been made.

Requirements

  • Apply for admission to an eligible participating private Florida institution.
  • Contact the institution's financial-aid office for its EASE application procedures and deadline.
  • Complete any institutional financial-aid or grant application required by the school.
  • Submit residency, citizenship, enrollment, and academic documentation requested by the institution.
  • Enroll in at least 12 undergraduate credit hours per funded term.
  • For renewal, maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative institutional GPA.
  • Earn the equivalent of at least 12 credit hours for each funded term.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress according to institutional and state standards.
