Eligibility

  • Be a current Missouri Public Health Association member in good standing with dues paid.
  • Live or work in Missouri.
  • Have a planned continuing education program or be pursuing a degree in a public-health-related field to enrich or further a public health career.
  • Demonstrate financial need for the requested educational assistance.
  • Applicants may reapply in future years if they remain eligible and have not previously received the scholarship.

Requirements

  • Complete the Edna Dell Weinel Scholarship application.
  • Provide confirmation of enrollment if using the scholarship for undergraduate or graduate degree work.
  • Submit official transcripts if using the scholarship for college or university coursework.
  • Submit one reference from an immediate or recent supervisor.
  • Submit one personal reference.
  • Provide information explaining how the scholarship will further the applicant's public health career.
  • If applying for a meeting or convention, provide information about the event and associated costs.
