Eligibility
- Plan to attend or currently attend a participating Earn to Learn educational partner.
- Meet the eligibility requirements established by the selected college, university, technical school, or training program.
- Meet the applicable financial-need requirements, which commonly include Federal Pell Grant eligibility or another approved need-based pathway.
- Complete all enrollment, residency, credit-hour, degree, or program requirements established by the participating institution.
- Be prepared to save $500 in an approved matched-savings account during each participating year.
Requirements
- Create an Earn to Learn applicant portal account.
- Complete the online scholarship application.
- Upload the FAFSA Student Aid Report and required identification or eligibility documentation.
- Sign the Earn to Learn Savings Agreement.
- Open an approved Matched Savings Account.
- Save $500 according to the selected savings plan.
- Complete the required online personal-finance training with a score of at least 80%.
- Participate in at least two educational webinars.
- Meet all additional requirements established by the participating institution.
How to Apply
- 1Review the participating educational partners and select the institution or program you plan to attend.
- 2Confirm that you meet that institution's specific Earn to Learn eligibility rules.
- 3Create an applicant portal account and complete the online application.
- 4Upload the FAFSA Student Aid Report, identification, and any required supporting documents.
- 5Wait for the eligibility review, which generally takes one to two weeks.
- 6If approved, sign the Savings Agreement and select an approved banking partner.
- 7Open the Matched Savings Account and make the first deposit.
- 8Complete the required personal-finance training and educational webinars.
- 9Reach the annual $500 savings goal to receive the matched scholarship funding.
