Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be an honorably discharged veteran who meets DAV Minnesota's published proof-of-veteran-status requirements.
• Have served in the United States Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Space Force, or an eligible Reserve or National Guard component.
• Be a current Minnesota resident.
• Attend or plan to attend an accredited trade school, two-year community college, or four-year college or university.
• Be in good academic standing.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Have not previously received the DAV of Minnesota Endowed Scholarship.
• DAV chapter membership is not required.

Requirements

• Complete the DAV of Minnesota Endowed Scholarship application.
• Provide proof of current Minnesota residency.
• Provide the name of the school attended or planned.
• Provide the intended field of study.
• Identify full-time or part-time enrollment status.
• Identify the applicant's branch of military service.
• Provide proof of military service.
• Complete the required essay explaining why the applicant should receive the scholarship.

How to Apply

3. 3Complete the online DAV Minnesota scholarship application.
4. 4Provide school, field-of-study, and enrollment information.
5. 5Provide military branch and proof-of-service information.
6. 6Write the required essay explaining why you should receive the scholarship.
7. 7Submit the completed application through the DAV Minnesota website.
