Eligibility

  • Be a current undergraduate or graduate student from Kansas.
  • Be enrolled full time at a two-year or four-year college or university located in Kansas.
  • Pursue a career in agriculture.
  • Incoming freshmen and transfer students are not eligible.
  • Preference is given to applicants pursuing careers related to improving wheat, including wheat genetics, agronomy, breeding, plant pathology, Extension, bioinformatics, and related fields.
  • Demonstrate financial need.

Requirements

  • Complete the David Radenberg Memorial Scholarship application.
  • Submit a Statement of Financial Need.
  • Write a 400-to-500-word essay explaining why you have chosen to pursue a career in agriculture.
  • Provide information about academic achievement and current GPA.
  • List awards and honors.
  • Describe community service, student organizations, leadership activities, and employment experience.
  • A résumé may be submitted for the activities and experience portion.
  • Sign and submit the completed application by the published deadline.
