Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation Farm and Food Agricultural Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be an Illinois resident.
• Be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Be enrolled in an accredited community college, four-year college, or university.
• Pursue an associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree connected to an agriculture-related career.
• Agriculture-related career interests may include farming, greenhouse operations, agronomy, horticulture, aquaculture, agribusiness or management, rural healthcare, veterinary medicine, nutrition or food science, agricultural science, agricultural education, forestry, and related fields.
• Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation directors, employees, and their immediate family members are not eligible.

Requirements

• Complete the Cook County Farm Bureau Foundation scholarship application.
• Provide academic information.
• Provide community involvement information.
• Provide agricultural activities and employment experience.
• Describe career objectives.
• Provide financial-need information.
• Provide references.
• Complete the required career-focused written response or essay.
• Provide proof of enrollment before scholarship funds are distributed.
