Eligibility

  • Be a student of color enrolled in an approved Connecticut educator preparation program.
  • Be a college junior, senior, or eligible graduate student in teacher preparation.
  • Be nominated by the dean or appropriate official of the educator preparation program.
  • Meet all Connecticut Office of Higher Education program requirements.

Requirements

  • Receive nomination from the education dean or designated program official.
  • Complete all required grant documentation.
  • Remain enrolled in an approved educator preparation program.
  • For loan reimbursement, begin teaching in a Connecticut public school within the required timeframe after graduation.
