Ciresi Walburn Leadership Fellows

Eligibility

• Be an incoming first-year student pursuing a bachelor's degree at the University of St. Thomas.
• Graduate from a Minnesota high school.
• Demonstrate high financial need through the FAFSA or Minnesota Alternative State Financial Aid Application.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States while completing the degree.
• Demonstrate commitment to leadership, service, racial and social justice, and the common good.
• Demonstrate willingness to participate fully in the four-year cohort program.
• Preference is given to first-generation college students.

Requirements

• Apply for admission to the University of St. Thomas.
• Complete the separate Ciresi Walburn Leadership Fellows application through the St. Thomas Admissions Portal.
• Answer three application questions, including short essays.
• Complete the FAFSA or Minnesota Alternative State Financial Aid Application.
• Participate in a virtual interview if selected as a semifinalist.
• Participate in an on-campus interview if selected as a finalist.

How to Apply

3. 3Open the Ciresi Walburn Leadership Fellows application in the St. Thomas Admissions Portal.
4. 4Complete the three required questions and short essays.
5. 5Submit the scholarship application by February 15, 2027 at 11:59 p.m.
6. 6If selected as a semifinalist, participate in a virtual interview during the week of March 1.
7. 7If selected as a finalist, participate in the March 13, 2027 on-campus interview.
8. 8Final scholarship decisions are scheduled by March 18, 2027.
