Eligibility

  • Be a full-time, part-time, or casual employee in good standing at a CentraCare entity.
  • Be formally accepted into an approved educational institution or training provider for an eligible pathway.
  • Applicants completing prerequisite courses may apply, although priority is given to applicants who have completed prerequisites, are formally accepted into their program, and plan to begin program coursework in the fall.
  • Pursue an eligible career pathway in Medical Laboratory Technology, EMT to Paramedic, Practical Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology, or Radiologic Technology.
  • Be willing to complete required structured on-the-job training at CentraCare.

Requirements

  • Complete the CentraCare Dual Training Grant application.
  • Write the required essay describing commitment to the selected career pathway.
  • Submit an academic schedule each semester.
  • Submit tuition, fee, and required-book documentation.
  • Sign the CentraCare Dual Training Grant Agreement.
  • Create an account in the state grant portal and sign the required state participation agreement.
  • Complete the FAFSA annually.
  • Complete and document required on-the-job training hours.
  • Attend the required annual grant orientation.
  • Remain a student in good standing.
  • Remain employed by CentraCare throughout the award period.
  • Remain employed by CentraCare for at least 12 months after completing the program.

  3. 3Complete the Dual Training Grant application through CentraCare's scholarship system.
  4. 4Write the required career-commitment essay.

  7. 7Submit required academic and expense documentation each semester.
  8. 8Complete structured paid on-the-job training alongside formal education.
  9. 9Remain employed by CentraCare through the required post-graduation period.
