Carson Valley Health Journey Continues Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a resident of Douglas County, Nevada.
• Have completed at least one year of a higher-education healthcare-related degree program and continue working toward completion.
• Be accepted into an accredited healthcare program.
• Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
• Demonstrate interest in serving healthcare needs in Northern Nevada.
• Previous recipients may reapply in later years.

Requirements

• Complete the shared Carson Valley Health Foundation application and select The Journey Continues.
• Write a brief profile emphasizing occupational goals and motivation for healthcare.
• Explain why you should be selected.
• Submit an unofficial grade record, program acceptance letter, applicable tax documentation, and two recommendation letters.
• If selected, provide proof of fall registration and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that at least one year of the healthcare degree has been completed.
2. 2Complete the Foundation application and select The Journey Continues.
3. 3Assemble the narrative responses and supporting academic, admission, income, and recommendation materials.
4. 4Email the complete packet or deliver it to the Foundation office by the deadline.
