Eligibility

• Be a California resident or qualify for an exemption under applicable California law.
• Demonstrate financial need and meet the applicable Cal Grant income and asset ceilings.
• Enroll or plan to enroll in an eligible occupational, technical, vocational, or career-training program.
• Attend an eligible California community college, vocational school, or qualifying career-education institution.
• Be enrolled at least half time in an eligible program.
• Not already hold a bachelor's or professional degree.
• Meet applicable federal financial aid or California Dream Act eligibility requirements.

Requirements

• Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or California Dream Act Application.
• Provide any academic or enrollment information requested by the California Student Aid Commission.
• Provide any additional financial or eligibility documentation requested by CSAC or the student's institution.
• Enroll in an eligible career-training or occupational program.

How to Apply

1. 1Complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application for the appropriate academic year.
2. 2Submit the application by the deadline that applies to the student's institution and award cycle.
3. 3Create or review a WebGrants 4 Students account.
4. 4Confirm that the selected school and career-training program are eligible.
5. 5Complete any remaining verification or institutional certification requirements.
