Eligibility

  • Be a California resident or qualify for an exemption under applicable California law.
  • Demonstrate significant financial need and meet the applicable Cal Grant income and asset ceilings.
  • Have at least a 2.00 qualifying grade point average.
  • Attend or plan to attend an eligible California college, university, or career education institution.
  • Be enrolled at least half time in an eligible undergraduate program.
  • Not already hold a bachelor's or professional degree.
  • Meet applicable federal financial aid or California Dream Act eligibility requirements.

Requirements

  • Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or California Dream Act Application.
  • Ensure that a certified GPA is submitted to the California Student Aid Commission when required.
  • Provide any additional financial or eligibility documentation requested by CSAC or the student's institution.
