Broadwater County 4-H Leadership Scholarship

The Broadwater County 4-H Leadership Scholarship helps graduating seniors who have demonstrated sustained participation and leadership in Broadwater County 4-H continue their education at an accredited postsecondary institution, including vocational-technical programs, colleges, universities, and business schools.

Eligibility
- Be a graduating high school senior in the current year.
- Be an active Broadwater County 4-H member during all four years of high school.
- Be enrolled in and successfully complete at least two 4-H projects during each year of high school.
- Demonstrate leadership through 4-H-related activities.
- Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited postsecondary educational institution.
- Eligible postsecondary pathways include vocational-technical training, college or university study, business school, and other accredited postsecondary education.
Requirements
- Complete the Broadwater County 4-H Leadership Scholarship application.
- Describe your intended field of study.
- Provide an overview of your 4-H history, including projects, activities, accomplishments, and awards.
- Describe your 4-H leadership activities.
- Explain how your 4-H experience helped you become a better leader.
- Write a summary explaining what 4-H means to you.
- Explain how your 4-H experience will help you in the future.
- Submit an up-to-date 4-H record book.
- Submit three letters of reference, including at least one from a 4-H leader.
- Submit a digital photograph.
How to Apply
- 1Complete the current Broadwater County 4-H Leadership Scholarship application.
- 2Prepare the required written responses about your 4-H history, leadership, and future.
- 3Obtain three reference letters, making sure at least one is from a 4-H leader.
- 4Update and submit your 4-H record book.
- 5Include the requested digital photograph.
- 6Submit the complete application package to MSU Extension Broadwater County by April 1.
- 7If selected, complete and turn in your final 4-H record book before scholarship funds are released.
