Bolton & Menk University of Minnesota Civil, Environmental and Geo-Engineering Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be currently enrolled in the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering.
• Be a lower-division student taking coursework supporting a Civil, Environmental and Geo-Engineering major or an upper-division student with a declared CEGE major.
• Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Provide official class registration showing coursework substantially supporting a CEGE major.
• Upper-division applicants must provide proof of their declared major.

Requirements

• Complete the Bolton & Menk scholarship application.
• State whether you are a lower-division or upper-division CEGE student.
• Provide your current year in the CEGE curriculum and intended or declared major.
• Submit official current class registration.
• Submit an official college transcript; qualifying incoming freshmen may be exempt from the college-transcript requirement but must provide official class registration.
• Write a short essay of 500 words or fewer about how the next generation of civil, environmental, and/or geo-engineers can make an impact on the world.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm enrollment in the University of Minnesota College of Science and Engineering.
2. 2Confirm that your coursework or declared major aligns with CEGE.
3. 3Confirm at least a 3.0 GPA.
4. 4Complete the Bolton & Menk scholarship application.
5. 5Obtain official class registration and transcript documentation.
6. 6Write the required 500-word-or-less engineering-impact essay.
7. 7Submit the application and required documents according to the current Bolton & Menk instructions.
8. 8If selected, submit updated transcript and class registration each year to maintain the scholarship.
