Eligibility

  • Be a high school graduate.
  • Be actively engaged in 4-H and/or FFA in Teton County.
  • Pursue an agriculture-related academic program or another field that will allow you to live in and serve a rural community.
  • Recipients of the $10,000 and $5,000 awards must attend Montana State University-Bozeman full time.
  • The $2,000 recipient may attend another qualifying postsecondary college or university full time.
  • Recipients of the $10,000 and $5,000 awards must maintain at least a 2.8 GPA during college.

Requirements

  • Complete the Boe Brothers Foundation Scholarship application.
  • Submit a one-page business-format cover letter.
  • Submit current academic transcripts.
  • Prepare an estimated budget showing income and expenses for the years you plan to attend college.
  • Explain your financial need.
  • Explain how your field of study will benefit a rural community.
  • Describe your short-term and long-term career and personal goals.
  • Describe your 4-H and/or FFA involvement and its benefit to you and your community.
  • Describe citizenship demonstrated through school and community participation.
  • Submit two sealed letters of reference.

How to Apply

  1. 1Complete the typed Boe Brothers Foundation application.
  2. 2Prepare the one-page cover letter and required written responses.
  3. 3Create the requested college budget.
  4. 4Obtain two sealed reference letters.
  5. 5Attach your current academic transcript.
  6. 6Submit the complete application to Teton County MSU Extension by 5 p.m. March 27.
  7. 7If selected, complete the appropriate scholarship acceptance process.
