Bob Lotzer Employee Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a current Forward Bank employee or the child of a current Forward Bank employee.
• Be a graduating high school student, student in an approved virtual high school environment, or student currently enrolled at an accredited Wisconsin or Minnesota college or university.
• Be a Wisconsin or Minnesota resident.
• Be scheduled or currently enrolled full time as an undergraduate student at an accredited school, college, or university in Wisconsin or Minnesota during the next succeeding term.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
• Preference is given to students pursuing Finance, Business, or Agriculture.
• Complete one full semester and provide proof of registration for a following semester or upcoming graduation before scholarship payment is released.

Requirements

• Complete the Bob Lotzer Employee Scholarship application packet.
• Provide current educational information.
• List three extracurricular activities and describe the impact of at least one.
• List three community service activities and describe how the applicant has made an impact through service.
• Provide employment history for the previous two years.
• Submit a one-page maximum essay explaining who or what inspired the applicant to pursue higher education.
• Submit two letters of endorsement.
• One endorsement must come from a school district faculty member, instructor, advisor, or coach.
• One endorsement must come from a non-relative adult outside a school relationship.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that you are a current Forward Bank employee or the child of a current employee.
2. 2Confirm Wisconsin or Minnesota residency and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
3. 3Confirm full-time undergraduate enrollment or planned enrollment at an accredited institution in Wisconsin or Minnesota.
4. 4Complete the Bob Lotzer Employee Scholarship application.
5. 5Provide extracurricular, community service, and employment information.
6. 6Write the required one-page essay about who or what inspired you to pursue higher education.
7. 7Request the required school-related endorsement.
8. 8Request the required non-school endorsement from a non-relative adult.
9. 9Submit the entire application packet before the annual deadline.
10. 10If selected, complete one full semester and submit proof of continued enrollment or upcoming graduation before payment.
