BluCurrent Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a graduating high school senior.
• Be a BluCurrent Credit Union member and Primary Account Holder by the membership cutoff date established for the applicable scholarship cycle.
• For the 2026 scholarship cycle, applicants were required to be Primary Account Holders as of February 14, 2026.
• Plan to continue education at a qualifying college, university, or vocational school.
• Meet all additional requirements contained in the current BluCurrent Scholarship application.

Requirements

• Complete the BluCurrent Scholarship application.
• Submit a copy of the applicant's high school transcript.
• Submit a recommendation from a teacher.
• Submit a separate recommendation from a sponsor, coach, or employer.
• Submit a personal statement explaining why the applicant deserves a BluCurrent Scholarship.
• Provide high school GPA and class-rank information.
• Provide information about school activities, positions held, honors, and awards.
• Provide information about civic, church, nonprofit, and volunteer activities.
• Provide employment history when applicable.
• Provide the applicant's intended major or career direction.
• Explain the applicant's planned program of study, career objectives, and educational goals.
• Provide information about the institution the applicant plans to attend.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that the applicant meets the BluCurrent membership and Primary Account Holder requirement.
2. 2Complete the online BluCurrent Scholarship application.
3. 3Provide the required academic, activity, volunteer, employment, and educational-goal information.
4. 4Obtain a teacher recommendation.
5. 5Obtain a separate recommendation from a sponsor, coach, or employer.
6. 6Prepare the required personal statement explaining why the applicant deserves the scholarship.
7. 7Upload the transcript, recommendations, personal statement, and any additional supporting pages.
8. 8Submit the complete application and all required documents by the published deadline.
9. 9If selected, provide or confirm acceptance into the chosen college, university, or vocational school.
10. 10Scholarship funds are generally issued directly to the recipient's school.
