Blaze Foundation Member Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Blaze Credit Union member.
• Qualify as either a traditional or non-traditional applicant.
• Traditional applicants are current high school students graduating during the applicable year.
• Non-traditional applicants are students continuing or returning to higher education.
• Be enrolled, accepted, or planning to attend an accredited postsecondary institution during the applicable academic year.
• Eligible education may include two-year, four-year, trade school, vocational school, and graduate programs.
• Use the scholarship within one year of the award.
• Not receive more than one Blaze Credit Union Foundation scholarship during the same school year.

Requirements

• Complete the Blaze Foundation scholarship application.
• Provide Blaze Credit Union membership information.
• Submit a letter of recommendation.
• Describe community involvement, accomplishments, affiliations, extracurricular activities, awards, and volunteer service.
• Complete the required scholarship essay.
• Do not identify yourself or family members in the essay or community involvement response.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm active Blaze Credit Union membership.
2. 2Determine whether you qualify as a traditional or non-traditional applicant.
3. 3Complete the scholarship application.
4. 4Request the required recommendation letter.
5. 5Prepare your community involvement response.
6. 6Write the annual scholarship essay.
7. 7Remove identifying names from the essay and community involvement response.
8. 8Submit the complete application during the annual application window.
9. 9If selected, remain actively enrolled in an eligible accredited postsecondary program.
