Eligibility

  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be currently enrolled in high school.
  • Be interested in pursuing a career in residential construction trades or a related field.
  • Enroll in an eligible construction-related program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead or North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton.
  • Provide proof of qualifying enrollment within 18 months after high school graduation.
  • Students may receive up to four BIA Foundation of the RRV scholarship awards during their academic career.

Requirements

  • Complete the BIA Foundation high school scholarship application.
  • Submit a typewritten statement of up to two pages or a 3–5 minute video statement.
  • Describe community experience.
  • Describe future education and career plans.
  • Describe previous projects involving physical or hands-on effort.
  • Provide proof of qualifying postsecondary enrollment if selected.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm plans to attend M State Moorhead or NDSCS Wahpeton in an eligible construction-related program.
  2. 2Complete the annual high school scholarship application.
  3. 3Prepare either the required written statement or video statement.
  4. 4Address community experience, future plans, and hands-on projects.
