Eligibility

  • Be a current Missouri Public Health Association member in good standing with dues paid.
  • Live or work in Missouri.
  • Be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate degree candidate in a public-health-related field that will further the applicant's career.
  • Eligible fields may include administration, epidemiology, health education, nursing, health promotion, and other public-health-related disciplines.
  • Undergraduate applicants must already be enrolled and have satisfactorily completed at least 30 college credit hours.
  • Graduate applicants must already be enrolled and have satisfactorily completed at least 12 graduate credit hours.
  • Applicants may apply again in future years if they remain eligible and have not previously received the scholarship.

Requirements

  • Complete the Bert Malone Health Professional Scholarship application.
  • Explain how the scholarship will be used.
  • Describe the applicant's commitment to continue working in public health in Missouri after completing the degree.
  • Submit confirmation of enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate college or university program.
  • Submit official academic transcripts.
  • Submit at least one professional reference using the required reference form.
