Eligibility

  • Be a high school senior.
  • Live in the Bernick's service area and meet the scholarship's geographic or eligible-school requirements.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Plan to enroll full-time in a technical or community college program.
  • Preference is given to students pursuing fields related to the Bernick business, including mechanics, transportation, warehouse management, accounting and finance, information technology, sales, and marketing.

Requirements

  • Complete the CommunityGiving online scholarship application.
  • Write the required two-page double-spaced essay reflecting on what you learned through school, community, and work activities during the previous four years and how you plan to apply those lessons to future opportunities.
  • Complete a Statement of Need and Responsibility describing a personal, life, or family circumstance affecting your need for the scholarship.
  • Provide a list of community service activities.
  • Provide a list of extracurricular school activities.
  • Provide information about work experience.
  • Arrange for your high school guidance office to electronically submit your transcript through the application system.
