Eligibility

  • Be enrolled in or accepted to an eligible California Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
  • Be preparing to become a registered nurse.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States during the required service period.
  • Agree to provide direct patient care at a qualifying California facility after completing the nursing program.
  • Meet all additional eligibility requirements published in the applicable HCAI grant guide.
  • Not have another service obligation that overlaps with the HCAI scholarship commitment.

Requirements

  • Complete the HCAI Funding eApp scholarship application.
  • Provide proof of enrollment or acceptance in an eligible BSN program.
  • Submit an official cost-of-attendance document.
  • Provide any additional transcripts or supporting documentation requested by HCAI.
  • Sign the required California service agreement if selected.
