Grade LevelHigh School Senior, College Student
Eligibility
- First-year, first-degree, full-time Arizona resident entering ASU in fall immediately after Arizona high-school graduation; Pell eligible. Native American nonresident seniors meeting ASU residency rules should confirm their entry requirements.
- On-campus degree at eligible ASU campuses; iCourses/ASU Sync may be included, but ASU Online majors are excluded.
Requirements
- Complete admission and FAFSA; no separate grant application. Program date section says March 1 for FAFSA continuation and July 1 for verification, while renewal section says annual FAFSA April 1. Use March 1 as the earlier planning target and confirm the applicable intake/renewal cutoff with ASU.
- Funding limited; eligibility/timely paperwork does not guarantee placement. No single new-cycle deadline assigned because public date wording differs.
- Renew with Pell eligibility, Arizona residency, SAP and 12+ credits each fall/spring at Tempe, West Valley, Polytechnic or Downtown Phoenix. Confirm signed award terms and eight-semester count.
- Does not cover summer, special class fees or study-abroad program fees. Arizona Promise and College Attainment are alternatives; qualifying students receive only one.
How to Apply
- 1Complete first-year fall admission/FAFSA and ask ASU which published March/April FAFSA date applies to your cohort.
- 2Submit verification by annual July 1 and monitor My ASU for award requirements.
