Grade LevelHigh School Freshman, High School Sophomore, High School Junior, High School Senior

Eligibility

  • Be in grades 9–12 and meet Arkansas residency rules through the student or, when under 21, a parent.
  • Enroll in eligible concurrent or dual-enrollment college coursework through an approved arrangement.
  • Private-school eligibility needs confirmation: the current sponsor page and FAQ include private schools, while the linked rules define eligible students using public-school or home-school enrollment. Confirm your route with ADHE and the college.
  • Courses already funded through designated vocational-center or other excluded state arrangements do not qualify for duplicate assistance.

Requirements

  • Contact your counselor or the college's early-college office; the institution submits the scholarship application on your behalf.
  • Follow local registration and verification deadlines. There is no universal student application deadline published.
  • Continued eligibility requires a 2.5 cumulative postsecondary GPA and satisfactory academic progress; this is not an initial high-school GPA floor.
  • For the Class of 2028 and later, A2A-funded credit hours may reduce later Academic Challenge eligibility in 30-hour blocks; discuss the effect with your counselor.

How to Apply

  1. 1Ask your school counselor, or college early-college staff for home education, about approved courses and eligibility.
  2. 2Register through the participating institution and provide enrollment/eligibility verification.
  3. 3The college submits its institutional application and roster; confirm the award and any remaining charges with the college.
  4. 4Check continued postsecondary GPA/SAP and potential future Academic Challenge effects before taking more funded courses.
