AOBA Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a resident of Prince George's County, Maryland.
• Be a recent high school graduate or have graduated within the previous three years.
• Preference is given to graduates of Prince George's County high schools.
• Be accepted for admission to Prince George's Community College.
• Complete the PGCC admission and placement requirements by the scholarship deadline.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Demonstrate readiness for college-level coursework.
• Demonstrate financial need.

Requirements

• Complete the AOBA Scholarship application.
• Submit a personal essay of at least 300 words.
• Discuss career goals and explain how the scholarship would help achieve them.
• Address community service, leadership, or a leader you admire as directed by the annual essay prompt.
• Submit a high school or college transcript.
• Submit the FAFSA or acceptable alternate documentation demonstrating financial need.
• Submit three letters of recommendation.
• Two recommendation letters must come from high school or college staff.
• One recommendation letter must come from a recognized community organization.

5. 5Obtain your academic transcript.

8. 8Submit all application materials by the annual deadline.
