Anthony “Tony” Gobar Juvenile Justice Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Be classified as a college junior or senior at the beginning of the fall semester.
• Be enrolled full-time at a public university in Mississippi or Southern University in Louisiana.
• Have a current cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Major in Criminal Justice, Political Science, Social Work, Pre-Law, Sociology, Counseling, or another qualifying field.
• Have a declared career interest in juvenile justice or a related field.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Show a strong commitment to community and public service.

Requirements

• Complete the online scholarship application.
• Submit an essay describing career interests in juvenile justice or a related field.
• Submit a summary of community and public service activities.
• Submit three letters of recommendation.
• Provide financial aid information confirmed by the college or university financial aid office.
